BuddyPress 1.2.6 lands and some issues fixed: Friday Find
We’ve already announced the release of BuddyPress 1.2.6 and with that our 10 theme updates, so lets have a look at some issues you may be facing since the upgrade and some fixes we’ve found for you.
Secondary avatar next to blog post in activity stream
We kept this feature in for now with our themes but may be offering a switch on and off in the future. Until then there is a work around from Rich!:
“you can remove it via the filter bp_get_activity_secondary_avatar”
remove_filter( 'bp_get_activity_action_pre_meta', 'bp_dtheme_activity_secondary_avatars', 10, 2 );
With our themes we want to ensure you can get the best out of any plugin so we’re leaving this in for now. We will be open to reviewing this should the demand arise.

Want to see the theme changes 1.2.6 brings?
No problem Paul came to the rescue with this link. We do advise though where possible you don’t self update your theme but go to your theme source and get an update. If you are using our themes we always also advise you use child and parent themes to get the easiest upgrade.
Where my languages go?
If you use language files in bp-languages do not forget to copy them out before the upgrade and / or add back again once you’ve done the move to 1.2.6. As covered here in this post at the forums. Also your pack may not have been updated so keep an eye out for that one.
Double friends aren’t so good
We’ve already offered up this temporary fix but you may want to check out this article if you have double buttons appear on the members list.
We’d only suggest upgrading if your theme is updated and we will be updating all our themes.
